Background
Principles and Rationale: TheDigital Government Development Agency (Public Organization), or DGA, has launched the “Digital Government Technology and Innovation Center Project”, which plays a crucial role as a comprehensive central hub to drive and support the public sector in enhancing knowledge exchange, research, and the development of related innovations.
This initiative aims to enhance the efficiency and capability of public services in Thailand while collaborating with academic institutions and organizations both domestically and internationally. The goal is to create a digital technology innovation ecosystem for the Thai public sector. DGA and its partners provide consultations and recommendations for action plans to support and drive the successful and sustainable development of various government innovation projects.
Promoting modern and convenient public services at the local level through the ‘2022 Digital Local Innovation Award’, driven by Minister Anucha via the Digital Government Development Agency (DGA).
The Previous Projects
TheDigital Government Development Agency (Public Organization) (DGA) organized the “Digital Local Innovation Award 2022” or “DGTi Local Government Awards 2022” under the Digital Local Development Program. This was carried out by the Digital Government Technology & Innovation Center (DGTi) to drive the development of digital local governments. The event was honored by Mr. Anucha Nakasai, Minister attached to the Prime Minister’s Office, as the chairperson of the award presentation ceremony along with Dr. Supot Tiarawut, DGA President & CEO Mr.Thawee Sermpakdikul, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Local Administration, Mr. Chaiwat Phatrakan, Director of the Local Administration and Public Participation Promotion Division, Office of the Public Sector Development Commission, and Mr. Nattawat Woranopakul, Senior Executive Vice of the DGA, who also attended the event to congratulate the agencies that received this award. The award aims to promote the digital government policy to seamlessly connect the government and local administrative organizations with the concept of speed, transparency, and accountability,
A panel of distinguished experts selected a total of 15 projects that met the criteria and received awards. The details are listed in alphabetical order by province as follows:
The Excellent Digital Local Government Awards were presented to three recipients:
Yala Municipality, Yala Province, for the project “YALA Resilience City”, focusing on sustainable urban resilience.
Phibun Mangsahan Town Municipality, Ubon Ratchathani Province, for the Digital Platform War Room for Flood Management.
Pa Hung Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Chiang Rai Province, for the “E-Smart Pa Hung” initiative.
The Outstanding Digital Local Government Awards were presented to 12 recipients:
Nakhon Ratchasima Municipality, Nakhon Ratchasima Province – Young Kids 6 Part project.
Nakhon Si Thammarat Municipality, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province – Online Petition and Service Center project.
Nonthaburi Municipality, Nonthaburi Province – Nakornnon Application.
Khao Roop Chang Town Municipality, Songkhla Province – MYKhaoroopchang complaint management system.
Kho Hong Town Municipality, Songkhla Province – Khohong Smart City Application.
Mae Ja Reo Subdistrict Municipality, Tak Province – Local Emergency Medical System Development using Digital Technology.
Muang Phan Subdistrict Municipality, Chiang Rai Province – Healthcare Service Enhancement App for Tambon Health Promoting Hospitals (RHS).
Nong Hoi Subdistrict Municipality, Chiang Mai Province – One Stop Service System “Nong Hoi Suk Jai”.
Taopun Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Phrae Province – Local Language Education for Global Integration.
Na Nong Thum Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Khon Kaen Province – Smart Car for Dependent Individuals’ Quality of Life Improvement.
Yan Yao Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Sukhothai Province – SMART EMS: Intelligent Emergency Medical System (2021 Fiscal Year).
