Public Sector Excellence Award 2023: Public Service Award for Data Integration for Service, Outstanding Level
The Digital Government Development Agency (Public Organization) (DGA), led by Dr. Supot Tiarawut, the President & CEO, received two awards at the Public Sector Excellence Awards 2023, presented by Mr. Wissanu Krea-Ngam, Chairman of the award ceremony, organized by the Office of the Public Sector Development Commission (OPDC). The two prestigious awards included: 1) Public Sector Management Quality Award (PMQA 4.0) – Advanced Level, and 2) Public Service Award for Data Integration for Service – Outstanding Level for the project “Central Government Open Data Center System”. Ms. Apinhporn Aungkhagamonsesth, Senior Executive Vice President of the DGA, along with the agency’s executives and staff, participated in the Public Sector Excellence Awards 2023 Ceremony on September 7, 2023, at the Impact Forum, Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok.
The “Public Sector Management Quality Award (PMQA 4.0)” was an award given by the Office of the Public Sector Development Commission (OPDC) to government agencies that demonstrate a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of their organizational management.
The “Public Service Award for Data Integration for Service – Outstanding Level” was awarded for the “Central Government Open Data Center System (data.go.th)” project, developed by the Institute of Innovation and Data Governance under the portfolio of DGA. This award recognizes government agencies that have effectively improved the quality of public service delivery, ensuring that services are accessible, efficient, transparent, fair, and satisfactory to the public.
DGA has continuously been implementing digital government measures by focusing on becoming the key mechanism supporting and linking the advancement of Digital Government (Enabling Agile Government). It strives to act as a “Smart Connector”, committed to promoting and supporting all agencies in collaborative thinking and innovation, and connecting the government with the public. This ensures that citizens will be provided with easy, accessible, convenient, and transparent access to services along with reducing inequalities
Furthermore, the business sector can also operate more efficiently. When the government is strong, it results in a more modern country through digital technology, making life easier for Thai people.
