The Digital Government Development Agency (Public Organization), or DGA, has joined forces with more than 50 government agencies nationwide to collaboratively prepare data for the United Nations E-Government Survey 2026, intending to improve Thailand\u2019s ranking in the global E-Government Development Index (EGDI).<\/span><\/p>

An online coordination meeting was held on April 1, 2025, to exchange information and ensure readiness in responding to the Member States Questionnaire (MSQ) \u2014 the official assessment form provided by the United Nations (UN). DGA and its partner agencies aim to strengthen data management and governance to ensure Thailand\u2019s position as a global leader of global digital government development for sustainable development.<\/span><\/p>
On this occasion,\u00a0<\/span>Mr. Charin Thiratitayangkul\u200b, DGA Vice President of Digital Government Strategy Department, revealed that in the latest assessment, Thailand has risen to 52<\/span>nd<\/span> out of 193 countries, improving from 55<\/span>th <\/span>place in 2022. The country also retains the 2<\/span>nd<\/span> highest ranking in the ASEAN region, with an EGDI score of 0.8351, up by 0.0691 points from 0.7660 in 2022. <\/span>

However, to confront the rapid digital transformation globally, governments around the world are increasingly integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance the efficiency and quality of public services. At the same time, they are emphasizing the importance of Digital Transformation for Sustainable Development \u2014 a key priority in advancing government administration systems that can effectively respond to the diverse needs of citizens inclusively, equitably, and efficiently, over the long term.<\/span><\/p>
DGA, as the primary agency responsible for collecting and processing digital government development data, recognizes the critical importance of collaboration from all government agencies to ensure that the data submitted to the United Nations is accurate, comprehensive, and truly reflects the overall development of Thailand.<\/span><\/p>
