The Digital Government Development Agency (Public Organization) or DGA serves as the central agency for Thailand\u2019s digital government system. Develop, manage, and provide digital technology infrastructure and basic service systems or applications related to digital government.<\/span><\/li>
Develop standards, guidelines, measures, criteria, and methods for digital technology and operational processes to enable efficient and consistent data linking and system interoperability between the related agencies.<\/span><\/li>
Promote and support the integration and data exchange between government agencies together with the disclosure of public sector information through digital technology. DGA also serves as a central hub for the exchange of public sector digital registers to facilitate public services and the implementation of government agencies.<\/span><\/li>
Promote and support government agencies in providing digital services to stakeholders.<\/span><\/li>
Develop one-stop digital services that allow citizens to access services conveniently, <\/span>
<\/span>quickly, and securely.<\/span><\/li>
Provide consultation and support to government agencies in managing digital technology projects, delivering academic services, and conducting training to enhance government officials’ skills and knowledge in the digital government area.<\/span><\/li>
Conduct studies, research, and innovation, and promote academic work, research, and innovations for the development of digital government.<\/span><\/li>
Support the operations of government agencies responsible for developing annual integrated budget allocation frameworks for digital government initiatives, and assist in monitoring and evaluating the implementation of programs and national plans related to digital government.<\/span><\/li>
Implement other actions to develop digital government as prescribed by law or assigned by the Cabinet.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>
For the benefit of developing a consistent or unified approach to digital government, the office may propose to the Cabinet to adopt a resolution requiring government agencies to support the office’s operations or collaborate with the office under this section.<\/span><\/p>

The Royal Decree Establishing the Digital Government Development Agency (Public Organization) B.E. 2561 (2018) and the Digitalization of Public Administration and Services Delivery B.E. 2562 (2019) designate DGA as the central agency for the digital government system. DGA has also been assigned to provide services, promote, and support the operations of government agencies and other organizations in developing digital government. Additionally, DGA also serves as the coordinating and supporting body for implementing tasks assigned by the Digital Government Development Committee.<\/span><\/p>
According to its vision and role, the DGA serves as a ‘Smart Connector,’ dedicated to promoting and supporting all agencies in co-thinking, co-creating, and connecting the government with citizens. This ensures that citizens can access services easily, equitably, conveniently, and transparently, thereby reducing disparities. For the business sector, the DGA facilitates fast and efficient operations. The key goals are as follows.<\/span><\/p>
Act as a co-thinker and co-creator, connecting the government with citizens to achieve the goals of becoming a Smart Nation and enabling Smart Life. This will be accomplished by linking and developing services that are convenient, user-friendly, and accessible to both citizens and businesses as One-Stop Service. Additionally, the continuous development of digital skills for public sector personnel will be continually supported.<\/span><\/li>
Elevate digital government to achieve a global ranking of 40<\/span>th<\/span> in the E-Government Development Index (EGDI) by 2030. This aligns with the organization’s brand value: ‘Digital Government to Modernize the Nation (Smart Nation) and Enhance the Quality of Life for Thai People (Smart Life).’<\/span><\/li><\/ol>
The strategy emphasizes that DGA personnel must embody the ‘DNA’ of being a ‘Smart\u00a0<\/span><\/p>
